Sagar Stays finds its roots in a time before India's independence- in a man’s quest for building his legacy and the hardships he faced along the way.

   The 21st century, for all its challenges, offers us unmatched ease. We can cross states in mere hours and return the same day. But decades ago, when my grandfather was a young, enterprising businessman, travel was a different beast. The journeys were long, uncomfortable and often solitary. Accommodation was rarely comfortable, and restful sleep was a luxury. Yet, he carried on; fuelled by grit, a tireless spirit, and a remarkable gift for turning strangers into friends.

    Sagar Stays is an ode to my grandfather’s spirit, his legacy, his unyielding spirit and his knack for befriending strangers. To a man who believed that even in the harshest of places, warmth could be found, or created. It’s our promise that every traveller who walks through our doors will feel welcomed, cared for, and understood.

   Our thoughtfully designed and lovingly maintained space is a sanctuary for those looking for comfort, connection, and a sense of home away from home; it is shaped by the simple promise that no one should have to trade comfort for purpose.
